About Golden Triangle

Why visit Golden Triangle

The Golden Triangle connects three of North India’s most rewarding cities: the layered capital of Delhi, Agra with the Taj Mahal, and the pink-hued Rajput capital of Jaipur.

These cities form a near equilateral triangle roughly 200–250 km along each side — compact, well-connected and endlessly photogenic. It is the classic introduction to India and pairs easily with extensions to Varanasi, Ranthambore or Udaipur.

How to reach

Most travellers fly into Delhi (DEL), the natural start and end of the circuit.

By road, Delhi–Agra is about 3–4 hours and Agra–Jaipur or Delhi–Jaipur around 5–6 hours in a private car.

Shatabdi and other express trains also link the three cities if you prefer rail between legs.

Travel tips

Allow at least four full days so you are not rushing the Taj or Amber Fort.

Book Taj Mahal tickets in advance for sunrise entry and carry modest clothing for mosques and temples.

Winter mornings can be foggy in North India — build buffer time for flights and drives.
